‘Keeping those Muslims out of our country’

This is why Muslims outside the U.S. think the war on terror is a war on Islam. This is why Muslim leaders complain of an Islamophobic culture in America. This is—regardless of the reality that some young American Muslims believe their faith justifies suicide bombings—abject religious discrimination.

This ... is what I heard on NPR while driving home: David Greene asking an average Republican in Council Bluffs, Iowa about the war in Iraq:

“I am so proud of the men and women who fight for us. I am so proud of the ones who have died for us because they are the ones keeping us free and the ones keeping those Muslims out of our country.“

Anyone else find it ironic that the Jewish Journal (sic) has a Xtian of Jewish ancestry writing a blog about religion - oh we are just so liberal here.

And because one anonymous comment on NPR can be construed as antiMuslim our Xtian blogger justifies Muslim hatred of Jews/West.  Maybe Mr. Greenberg feels since he’s no longer Jewish, Muslim fanatics won’t target him for murder, only those nasty Jew types, and he’s therefor safe.  How soon before blogs from David Duke and Muslims for a Judenkeit Israel appear in the JJ?

The fact that Brad was listening to NPR alone tells me a lot about how he could look down his nose at that “simpleton” in Iowa.  He’s a real sophisticate Brad is…But Brad, if God forbid you or a member of family or you and your entire family were going to killed in a terrorist act IN THIS COUNTRY…The odds are about 10,000 to 1 that your killer will be a Muslim. And if only 10% are Islamist sympathizers, well gee that’s on 130,000,000 million people…Hey Brad, no problem, let’s go to Soho or West LA and hang out in a club… I AM DAMN PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN…LIVING IN THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD, ESPECIALLY FOR JEWS…You don’t live in the real world my P.C., multicultural boy.
