Pastor Umar Mulinde, used to go to Israel to take pilgrims, but this time, the re-known pentecostal evangelical pastor is in Israel to save his Face and probably life.

Pastor Mulinde who is known to preach in support for Israel, is being treated in an Israeli hospital after an acid attack. Mulinde, 38, arrived in Israel on Jan. 5 for emergency medical treatment at Tel Aviv’s Sheba Medical Center with a severely burned face and a damaged right eye.

According to sources, Mulinde got financial and logistical help from Jerusalem Online university Executive Director Andrea Gottlieb of Philadelphia. This came after he determined that he needed more advanced treatment for his injuries than what the hospital in Kampala could provide.

Pastor Mulinde was attacked with Acid during the Christmas Eve on Dec 24th near his church on Entebbe road.

According to Pastor Mulinde, The attackers shouted “Allah Akbar” (God is great) after pouring acid on him ,He believes it was a plot by the Muslims he is ever criticising in his preaching. Mulinde converted to Christianity after spending much of his life as a Muslim.

During his services, Pastor Mulinde teaches Jewish supportive subjects at his Gospel Life Church International and to neighboring ministers.He had also organized a 5,000-person crusade at Nakivubo to teach about Israel.

The police reported that they had arrested a suspect in connection with the acid attack on Mulinde but information according to a local news paper later revealed that some pastors might have engineered the acid attack.
