An Israeli warplane shot down what is being called a suspicious flying object that flew into the airspace over the Dimona nuclear reactor.

The Israeli media, citing an Israeli military spokeswoman, identified the object shot down by an F-16 jet as an unmanned balloon powered by an engine.

The airspace over the reactor is a no-fly zone.
