A late Bat-Mitzvah
Singer and reality- show judge, Paula Abdul, visited Israel this week to make a lifelong dream come true: After a delay of almost four decades, she celebrated her Bat-Mitzvah at the Western Wall. Abdul made that visit formal when she met with President Peres, who congratulated her on her day of celebration.
An Israeli cooking app goes global
Israeli startup Kinetic Art has gone from “local” to “global”. The young company will produce a vegetarian cooking application of 20 of America's leading chefs, including world-renowned restaurateurs Thomas Keller and Mario Batali. The application will be called The Best of the Best, and will be available for iPad, iPhone and Android devices.

Beyonce’ to TLV
After Rihanna, it is now time for another world-class superstar to perform in Israel. The singer is expected to visit Israel around April 2014, and is most likely to perform in Tel-Aviv, in front of an audience of 50,000 people. Currently, no less than five producers are fighting for the right to bring Beyoncé to Israel and have even sent proposals to her representatives totaling several millions of dollars just for the singer.
NBA season launches with two Israeli players
Omri Casspi and Gal Mekel, our two Israeli stars in the NBA, played their first games of the 2013/14 season on Wednesday night. Casspi is playing for the Houston Rockets and Mekel is playing for the Dallas Mavericks.
