While Evan Kleiman’s “Good Food” is on vacation this week, KCRW subs “The Infinite Mind,” where this week the theme will be “Foods and Moods.” Ruth Reichl reads a piece about comfort food, MIT researchers Richard Wurtman and Judith Wurtman discuss the link between serotonin and carbs, and Dr. Joseph Hibbelm converses on the link between Omega 3s and depression.

So here’s a new one for ya. The movie’s official release date is Jan. 19, but we get a one-week-before sneak of “Fast Track,” at just one theater. The Mann Beverly Center 13 screens the new Zach Braff/Amanda Peet comedy about a husband and wife whose life goes totally askew after having a baby. Jason Bateman, Charles Grodin and Mia Farrow also star.

Lightning rod Dennis Prager comes to the UJ tonight. His ongoing “Torah Verse by Verse” lecture series is now focused on Leviticus, and the Department of Continuing Education sponsors tonight’s lecture, as well as one on Jan. 9.</p>

Opening this week is the Skirball’s tribute to a celebrated graphic designer, “Saul Bass: The Hollywood Connection.” Though he worked in advertising, as well, this exhibition focuses on Bass’ contributions to the film industry. More than 20 movie posters and six soundtrack-album covers — for films like “Vertigo” and “Exodus” — as well as a montage of Bass’ ground-breaking movie title sequences, are on display. Also screening with the montage will be Bass and his wife Elaine’s Oscar-winning short documentary, “Why Man Creates.”
