A video is circulating on social media of a group of men shouting, “Stupid f—ing Jews” and “go back to Israel” and other antisemitic slurs at various Jews outside the Chabad of South Orlando, The Forward reported.
The video shows a man, identified as being Jon Minadeo II of the white supremacist organization Goyim Defense League (GDL) saying to Jewish passengers in a car, “Leave our country, go back to Israel. You know where you bomb Palestinian kids. Where we fund you stupid f—ing Jews $8 billion a year. Minadeo then taunted “the horseface on this Jew.”
Minadeo later shouts, “You’ve been kicked out of a 109 nations one-thousand thirty f—ing times. You’d think you’d figure it out by now” and accused a “filthy Jew” of attempting to run them over. Minadeo then accused the cops of working “straight for the f—ing Jews.” Other parts of the video featured Minadeo shouting “pedophile Jew” and accused Jews of killing Palestinians.

Chabad of South Orlando Rabbi Yosef Konikov told The Forward that he was frustrated that the police didn’t act when the white supremacists blocked their driveway. “There’s got to be a way to not allow people to harass people like that,” Konikov said. “We have kids here, and they go up to the kids and they try to scare the kids. It’s very scary for people, and a lot of people are traumatized.”
Jewish groups tweeted out their disgust at Minadeo and the GDL.
“This antisemitic harassment campaign being orchestrated across Florida by Jon Minadeo II and his white supremacy group ‘Goyim Defense League’ must be stopped!” Stop Antisemitism tweeted. “Enough is enough @RonDeSantisFL- as Governor, please act!” They elaborated that DeSantis should issue “a statement of condemnation” and then engage in “direct communication with law enforcement departments that are dealing with this.”

A statement of condemnation would be a fantastic start followed by direct communication with law enforcement departments that are dealing with this, some more than once such as Jacksonville and WPB.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center tweeted, “The answer to such incendiary confrontational verbal attacks outside a community’s house of worship: it must be condemned by governor and all elected officials with public solidarity from faith leaders. The legislators must analyze if toughening hate crime laws will be effective.”

Konikov told The Forward he was “moved” by everyone who has called him to express support, including from those who are not Jewish, which he argued shows that the GDL’s actions have only resulted in strengthening “the Jewish resolve” and gaining “more support from the goyim.”
