Predictably, liberals have already begun scrambling to connect last night’s devastating storm to Climate Change™ or Global Warming™ or whatever buzzword is trending as of late in that camp—and “don’t get it twisted”: that is exactly the plan. While millions of Southern California residents survey the unspeakable damage this so-called sharknado caused, wringing briny water from their children’s tattered vestments, the focus has yet to shift to President Obama’s steady inaction in the face of national calamity.
The sharknado, which top scientists have described as “a tornado full of sharks,” hit the West Coast at approximately 6PM PST, and, in the ensuing hours, Americans watched the carnage with mounting horror. That no national relief effort has been announced, that no shelters have been opened, that President Obama has not yet acknowledged the tragedy in Southern California speaks volumes about his time in office. His record on Benghazi, the NSA, and other dire “missteps” precedes him; in the coming days he will stand before the American people to rhetorize, sympathize, and, ultimately, attempt to pull the wool over the media’s eyes—all too late.
