The angels conceal themselves
from those who could see them (Avraham could see them)
To him they must call themselves men.
And the angels reveal themselves to those who
Would never see them as angels
But still to them (Lot would not see them) the angels are men.

And there was my heart
That had tried every day
And the first love he breathed
He looked at in its most natural way.

The early mercy became part
Of this tree and the red
Freedom peered and she began to
Put on orange stockings and
Walk to the news stand.
