A Moment in Time: Yom HaShoah – Holocaust Memorial Day

Dear all,

As we recall the atrocities of the Holocaust, we are mindful that six million is
not a number within our scope of understanding.

Six million, too often, becomes a collective figure.

But we must remember, six million is:

1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1 ……………
 

Each one
           a life.
Each one
           with the potential
                          to give life.
Each one
           in the image
                         of God.
Each one
           deserving
               of
                 his and her own
                            moment of our time.
