BioMed- bigger and healthier than ever
Israeli life sciences and biomedical community have hosted its annual International Biotechnology Conference, for the 12th time. This year, event organizers gave a wider stage to overseas companies looking to attract Israeli players, showing the two-way nature of Israel’s blooming biotech business. About 1,000 of the 6,000 participants at the three-day event were from foreign countries, predominantly the United States, Germany, Italy and Taiwan.

Presidential Facebook campaign wins PR prize
The campaign which launched President Shimon Peres' Facebook page was named the 2012 Campaign of the Year on Monday, as part of the Roaring Lion competition organized by the Israel Public Relations Association (IPRA). The campaign, which took place in March 2012 and was accompanied by a YouTube clip titled 'Be My Friend for Peace,' won the first place both in the Digital Campaign and Campaign of the Year categories.
When Blatter met Bibi
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with FIFA President, Joseph Blatter. In response to comments the latter made during his prior visit to Israel, Netanyahu showed him concrete evidence of the Palestinian terror organizations' use of football fields as bases for launching rockets. He also asked that FIFA give it fair play and not allow itself and the sport to be used for the dissemination of mendacious propaganda against Israel.

Putting the (200,000) pieces together
Probably the hardest puzzle, ever. Images of about 200,000 fragments of ancient Jewish documents, held in 67 separate locations across the world, are being matched up digitally by a powerful computer network in the basement of Tel Aviv University.
