Miriam Adelson
President Donald Trump has named pro-Israel philanthropist Miriam Adelson a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom award, the nation’s highest civilian honor.
Adelson is the wife of casino magnate Sheldon Adelson and a physician whose research focuses on narcotic addiction.
The two supporters of Israel and the Republican Party are Movers and Shakers. Most recently they donated $10 million to the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces during its Nov. 1 gala in Beverly Hills.
The White House announced the seven award recipients on Nov. 10. Others who will receive the award to be given out on Nov. 16 include Senator Orrin Hatch, the late Justice Antonin Scalia and deceased icons Babe Ruth and Elvis Presley.
