I think Helen Thomas was a contemporary of Herzl, so maybe they had a chance to debate Herzl’s dream of a Jewish state in Palestine. Her comments this week have drawn an emphatic response nonetheless. Thomas, the long-time member of White House press corps, apologized yesterday.
