Flames Kindled – A Poem for the Shabbat in Hanukah

[additional-authors]
December 11, 2015

Flames kindled

This Shabbat-Hanukah night

Hanukah wicks flickering

Casting street-light

Shabbat flames dancing

Illuminating soul-sight

Hanukah – God descends

Shabbat – Jews ascend

Claiming every n’shamah

Sparks seeking light

Shabbat-Hanukah flames kindled

Lifting Israel

Burning bright

Glorious night!
