A new report from the Israel Security Service (Shin Bet) has concluded that terror attacks against Israelis increased by 15 percent in July.

According to Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA), the number of terror attacks increased from 220 in June to 255 in July. The vast majority of the documented terror attacks featured firebombs.

One of the fatalities from the terror attacks was 21-year-old Israel Defense Force (IDF) soldier Aviv Levi, who was murdered by a Palestinian sniper who used an Iranian-rifle that featured bullets that could penetrate armor. The other fatality was 31-year-old Yotam Ovadia, who was stabbed to death by a 17-year-old Palestinian terrorist in the Adam (Geva Benyamin) community close to the West Bank.

The 255 figure is still a decline from 365 in May, the highest instance of terror attacks against Israelis since October 2015, when 620 terror attacks against Israelis occurred.
