The national Sunrise Movement climate group denounced their Washington, D.C. chapter for being “antisemitic” in their refusal to participate in an October 23 voting rights rally because of “Zionist organizations.”
For the original refuseniks and other activists and sympathizers, the glib appropriation of such a historically meaningful term is painful.
Apparently, DEIJ initiatives in Jewish schools are not open for discussion.
