It's that time of year again! The one where we gorge ourselves on watermelon, beer, corn-on-the-cob and barbecue. We all know the 'reason for the season' (no, not THAT season), but here are some other mind-bendingly interesting facts about the 4th of July and American consumption. Hooray for the red, white and blue!
1. The 4th of July was not declared a national holiday until 1941.
