A Facebook fan page outlining a game called “Beat the Jew” played by students at a Southern California high school has been removed.

The page was shut down after faculty at La Quinta High discovered the highway chase game, which was played by 40 students, though not at the Coachella Valley school.

A La Quinta student created the game in which a willing person, “The Jew,” is blindfolded and left on a nearby highway while members of the other team, “the Nazis,” ride by in cars and try to tackle and capture the Jew, The Desert Sun in Palm Beach, Calif., reported Wednesday. The rules were outlined on the Facebook page.

“I cannot understand why they would have this kind of insensitivity, it’s beyond my understanding,” La Quinta High principal Donna Salazar told KNBC-2. “I’m profoundly disappointed.”
