Naughty Jewish girls need love, too. Show it to ’em this weekend. “Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad” returns to Los Angeles for three nights at Tangiers. The variety show features comedy, music, spoken word and burlesque, with a healthy helping of kitsch. Klezmer Juice also performs.

Sunday the 4th
 fourth annual “Interfaith Symposium: Biblical Prophets in Theology, Art and Music.” They partner with Jewish Music Commission of Los Angeles, the Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church and the Los Angeles Catholic Archdiocese for a symposium, dinner and free concert of classical and contemporary compositions inspired by the biblical prophets.</p>

In Richard Martin Hirsch’s “Atonement,” a huge personal loss rocks the foundations of a secular Jewish novelist’s belief system. To find peace, he must confront his life through his relationships with three women: his wife, his lover and a mysterious third. The play premieres tonight at Theatre 40.</p>

Composer David Lefkowitz incorporates an anti-war message into his Sephardic and Ashkenazi-inspired piano quintet, “Dreams: All of a Peace.” This week, Pacific Serenades presents the world premiere of the musical composition, as well as works by Brahms and Debussy, in a program titled “We All Breathe the Same Air.”</p>

In theaters this week is the documentary, “Encounter Point,” a film with a clear and thought-provoking point of view. In focus are the diverse, moving stories of Israelis and Palestinians who have been affected by the conflict, but who have chosen to work towards nonviolent peace-building.</p>

The Central Library and the Skirball celebrate women today. ALOUD at the Central Library presents a play reading of Harriet Rochlin’s “Desert Dwellers, Part One: The Reformer’s Apprentice.” The piece tells the story of a young Jewish woman in 1870s San Francisco. Meanwhile, at the Skirball, it’s the opening night gala of the Reel Women International Film Festival, which features the movie “Open Window,” about a newly-engaged couple’s encounter with a random act of violence and its effect on their relationship.</p>
