Apple CEO, Tim Cook, to inaugurate new headquarters in Israel
Tim Cook, CEO of Apple Inc., is planning a visit to Israel next week to inaugurate Apple Israel's new headquarters in Herzliya, Globes reported Thursday. During the trip, Cook is also expected to meet with former President Shimon Peres, as well as the country's senior high-tech figures. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu paid a visit to Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California during a 2014 trip, though there is no word if the two will meet this time. The building, which is 12,500 square meters and will employee 800 employees, will house Apple Israel's development center as well as the marketing and sales division.
More foreign airlines to land in Israel
A number of foreign airlines which have yet to fly to Israel will begin operating in the country in the upcoming summer season. In addition, Israeli travelers will be offered new destinations on direct flights from Ben-Gurion Airport. The new companies which will begin flying to Israel in the coming months include Kenya Airways, Air Bucharest, China's Hainan Airlines and Lithuania-based Small Planet Airlines. Blue Panorama Airlines will resume charter flights from Italy.

Microsoft buys Israeli tech-pen for $200 million
Big challenge for BDS supporters now – to boycott Microsoft. The tech giant is buying N-trig, an Israeli provider of digital pens and chips for touch screens, for at least $200 million, the Calcalist financial news website said on Thursday. Most of N-trig's 190 workers will be integrated into Microsoft Israel and will be part of a new research and development center, Calcalist said, without citing sources.
Israel’s alternative fuels initiative work with vehicle makers to develop gas-based fuels
Israel’s alternative fuels initiative has entered into a deal with several of the world’s largest vehicle makers to help develop gas-based fuels. Israel Fuel Choices Initiative (IFCI), a project of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), this week signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), Iveco (a Brand of CNH Industrial) and Magneti Marelli (FCA Group) for cooperation in the development of natural-gas based technologies, developing fuels for cars, trucks and buses, based on gas.
Bollywood adopts Israeli-created television game show
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will host India’s adaptation of the Israeli-created television game show Who’s Asking? for his country’s small-screen audience. India’s leading television, media and entertainment company, ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited, recently commissioned a first season of Armoza’s studio game show. It will air on their newly launched Hindi General Entertainment Channel ‘&TV’, and is set to be the channel’s flagship non-fiction show. Who’s Asking? will be known locally as India Poochega – Sabse Shaana Kaun? and is set to air in March.
