The Hollywood Museum reopened this week on August 4, 2021. The first ever Back to the Future Trilogy exhibit is waiting for YOU!

At the opening ceremonies, Donelle Dadigan presented a check to the Michael J. Fox Foundation and there were special messages from both Michael J. Fox and Bob Gale. You can watch both in my video above!

Thank you to Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell for participating as well as the many stars who came to show their support!

On the same day, Mel’s Diner created a NEW BURGER: The Hollywood Museum burger! I loved mine! You can visit the museum and then go next door for your special lunch only available at the Hollywood location.

“Donelle Dadigan, Founder & President of The Hollywood Museum in the Historic Max Factor Building https://thehollywoodmuseum.com/ announced today that the museum would go “Back To The Future” as we re-open to the public, post pandemic, with their blockbuster Back To The Future Trilogy Exhibit.”

The Hollywood Museum is located at 1660 N. Highland Ave (Highland Ave and Hollywood Blvd)

The BTTF Film Franchise creator Bob Gale, who was instrumental in helping to create the BTTF Trilogy Exhibit, has loaned many of his personal never before seen artifacts and props from the films. In addition, the Shea’s have loaned out the Hero DeLorean from the BTTF Part 3 and other original props from the films.

Dadigan said, “We are so happy to be able too once again welcome our fans from the U.S. and all over the world back to The Hollywood Museum, we have been looking forward to this day, post pandemic. Our priority is the safety of the public and to ensure everyone the best experience as they return to the museum.”

Lisa Niver and Ruta Lee

Among the other exhibits that await the fans include The Cat Women Exhibit, Marilyn Monroe, Harry Potter, Super Heroes of the 21st Century, Planet of the Apes, Dungeon of Doom, Hannibal Lecter Jail Cell, our definitive Max Factor Collection, and our beautifully restored Lobby with special Exhibits.

The Hollywood Museum showcases more than 10,000 treasures from Hollywood’s humble beginnings thru today, including film, television, music, showcasing original props, costumes, star cars, and more.

If you have been to the museum before there is always something new to see, including artifacts specially brought out of the vault and not seen on public display for many years that will once again welcome you to the museum.

Freedom, This Year

There is something deeply cyclical about Judaism and our holidays. We return to the same story—the same words, the same questions—but we are not the same people telling it. And that changes everything.

A Diary Amidst Division and the Fight for Freedom

Emma’s diary represents testimony of an America, and an American Jewish community, torn asunder during America’s strenuous effort to manifest its founding ideal of the equality of all people who were created in the image of God.

More than Names

On Yom HaShoah, we speak of six million who were murdered. But I also remember the nine million who lived. Nine million Jews who got up every morning, took their children to school, and strove every day to survive, because they believed in life.

Gratitude

Gratitude is greatly emphasized in much of Jewish observance, from blessings before and after meals, the celebration of holidays such as Passover, a festival that celebrates liberation from slavery, and in the psalms.

Freedom’s Unfinished Journey

The seder table itself is a model of radical welcome: we are told explicitly to invite the stranger, to make room for those who ask questions and for those who do not yet know how to ask.

The playground in Jerusalem didn’t stop antisemitism, and renovating playgrounds in New York City is not likely to stop it there, either — because antisemitism in America today is not rooted in a lack of slides or swings.

Defending Israel in an Age of Madness

America’s national derangement poses myriad challenges to those not yet caught up in it. The anomie is daunting enough for the general public — if that term still makes sense in this fragmented age — and it is virtually insurmountable for the defenders of Israel.
