Beaufort is a 2007 Israeli war film, directed by Joseph Cedar, who stands behind many great Israeli films. The film was co-written by Cedar and Ron Leshem, and is based on Leshem's novel of the same name.

It is considered one of Israel's best films, and its creators and cast won several awards, including the Silver Bear award in the Berlin International Film Festival for Cedar, a nomination for the Academy Awards as Best Foreign Picture, and four Ophir Awards for Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Artistic Design and Best Soundtrack, and
