The Jerusalem municipal planning committee has approved plans for a scaled-back Museum of Tolerance in the center of Jerusalem. The plan was approved more than two years after the project of the Simon Wiesenthal Center was withdrawn due to the slumping economy.

Scholars for Peace in the Middle East has condemned Britain\’s largest academic union for voting to adopt an academic and cultural boycott of Israel. The international organization has also condemned the University and College Union for rejecting the European Union definition of anti-Semitism.
State Department condemns West Bank mosque torching
The United States condemned the torching of a West Bank mosque. \”This attack is the latest of several such acts of violence against West Bank mosques. These incidents have served to undermine efforts to promote a comprehensive peace in the region. We call on the Israeli government to investigate this attack and bring the perpetrators to justice, and for calm from all parties,\” said Mark Toner, deputy spokesperson for the U.S. State Department.
