Community Advocates’ vice president, Joe Hicks, is in the United Kingdom today for a very special event. No, he’s not meeting the Queen.
Tomorrow night Joe will be one of the debaters at the On the opposing dais will be Rev. Al Sharpton.
In the past few days Sharpton added some drama to the event when he asked for an opportunity to speak at the event but NOT debate the issue that is the subject of the evening. Apparently, the sponsors have agreed to allow him to make opening comments and then respond to questions, but not actively participate in the debate. A very unusual concession by the Union.
It will be a videotaped and available on YouTube in the next few days. Should make for fun viewing.
This is quite an honor for Joe and for Community Advocates.
