Noah Schnapp (“Stranger Things”) will star in “Waiting for Anya,” a movie based on Michael Morpurgo’s novel about a secret mission to smuggle Jewish children from a village in southern France to Spain during World War II.

Schnapp will play a shepherd who joins forces with a widow (Anjelica Huston) and his grandfather (Jean Reno) to help the children escape under the noses of the Nazis.

Written and directed by Ben Cookson, the film will be released on Feb. 14, 2020.
