Actress Amy Schumer, who gave birth to her son in May, shared her struggles with a difficult pregnancy on social media. Now she’s partnering with the new streaming service HBO Max for the tentatively titled documentary “Expecting Amy,” about the challenges and comedic aspects of touring while pregnant.

”Women are warriors, every one of us,” Schumer said in a statement. “And I hope sharing my story brings more awareness to the challenges of pregnancy and childbirth.”

“Amy Schumer is an inspiration and this project is such an honest look at her experience being on the road while preparing for her special,” HBO Max head of original content Sarah Aubrey said. “Her willingness to showcase her immense vulnerability, during the most challenging time in her life, is both empowering and hilarious.”

HBO Max will launch in the spring of 2020.
