Gal Gadot has added another project to her busy calendar. She’ll star in a new adaptation of Agatha Christie’s “Death on the Nile” as heiress Linnett Ridgeway Doyle, a character played by Lois Chiles in the 1978 film version, and Emily Blunt in the BBC’s “Poirot” series.

Kenneth Branagh, who directed “Murder on the Orient Express” last year, will direct and presumably reprise his role as Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. It will be released Dec. 20, 2019, on the heels of “Wonder Woman 1984,” due out Nov. 1, 2019.

The art heist thriller “Red Notice” with Dwayne Johnson is on Gadot’s summer 2020 slate; she’ll join Bradley Cooper in “Deeper,” about a deep-sea dive; and she’ll star as screen legend Hedy Lamarr in a Showtime miniseries.

This weekend she has a cameo in the 30th season premiere of “The Simpsons,” airing Sunday, Sept. 30 on Fox. The Israeli actress also lends her voice to a street racer named Shank in the “Wreck-It Ralph” sequel “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” in theaters Nov. 21.
