A Moment in Time: Before It’s Too Late

[additional-authors]

Dear all,
While flying home from my recent conference, I saw another plane soaring across the sky. I scrambled for my camera and was able to snap one quick shot before the other plane was forever gone from my view.
In this case, it was just a photo for my aviation collection.
But life is filled with opportunities to capture something special …. before it’s too late.
One more conversation.
One more place to visit.
One more chance to get someone to smile.
One more time to speak up for yourself.
One more dream to realize.
One more act of tzedekah/ giving of your time and being.
One more cuddle.
One more apology.
One more opening to forgive.
Composer and lyricist, Jerry Herman, reminded us to capture life “Before the parade passes by” (Hello, Dolly!) How deep is his wisdom!
So we do everything we can to harness our moment in time – before the “plane” passes by. There are so many opportunities out there!
With love and shalom,
Rabbi Zach Shapiro
