Some people felt ignored, picked on, angry, or scared
and voted out of defense
only to pick on others after all.
This is not what suffering is about.
We have learned.
Stand up for what you know about love and hate and
be a light
unto the nations.
Our pain from the past is too great to
teach anything other than care and love and
kindness
from the mountaintops.
Perhaps, since October 7th, a fifth generation has surfaced. Young Jews determining how (not if) Jewish tradition and beliefs will play a role in their own identity and the future identities of their children.
