Did you hear the story about the rabbi and Christian minister? It sounds like an old joke, but our story isn’t old, nor is it a joke. We are two clergymen who were the most unlikely to know each other, let alone be friends. One of us is an African American evangelical leader of a church group based in Los Angeles with connections to South Africa, while the other is an Orthodox Rabbi with a synagogue located on the border of Beverly Hills.

Christian Israel supporters urge Rand Paul on aid

Christians United for Israel garnered more than 20,000 signatures on a letter urging U.S. Sen. Rand Paul to drop calls to end aid to Israel. \”Eliminating aid to Israel would abandon a key ally in a dangerous region at a turbulent time,\” said the letter organized this week by the evangelical group. \”Such a cut would betray our highest principles, endanger our nation, and, in the long run, end up costing us far more.\”
