Goldstone committee members stand by report

Three members of the United Nations fact-finding mission on the Gaza war say they stand by the report. Calls to retract the Goldstone report disregard the rights of the victims, the international law experts said in a statement published Thursday in the British newspaper the Guardian. \”Aspersions cast on the findings of the report cannot be left unchallenged,\” the statement said.

Lieberman says he is unconcerned about likely indictment

Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said he has no cause for concern following an announcement that he would be indicted on graft charges. \”I know and you know that I always acted in accordance with the law, and there is no reason for worry,\” Lieberman said Wednesday. \”After 15 years, I finally will have an opportunity to prove that I acted lawfully.\”

Bieber says logistics stalled meeting with kids

A spokesman for Justin Bieber told JTA that the pop star is not meeting with children from Israel\’s rocket-beset south because of logistics, not politics. “Justin welcomes the chance to meet with kids facing difficult circumstances, regardless of their background, and in fact, he had already invited children from the Sderot area to join the 25,000-plus other fans at his concert in Tel Aviv on Thursday night,” the spokesman told JTA.

Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem has dedicated a new breast health center. The Marlene Greenebaum Multidisciplinary Diagnostic Breast Center at the hospital\’s Ein Kerem location will serve as a one-stop shop for women\’s breast care needs.

Ethiopians to hold large seders in Israel

Some 5,500 Ethiopian immigrants will celebrate the seder together in 16 absorption centers throughout Israel. About 1,000 of the new Ethiopian immigrants have arrived in recent months and will celebrate their first Passover in Israel, according to the Jewish Agency for Israel.
