Jill Biden, the wife of Vice President Joe Biden, told a group of American Jewish women that she was praying for “lasting peace in Gaza.”

Jill Biden’s comments on Sunday during a speech at the Jewish Federations of North America’s annual Lions of Judah conference led some to wonder if she had meant to say “Israel” rather than “Gaza,” according to BuzzFeed.

The speech focused on the philanthropic efforts of Jewish women in the United States.

Neither Biden nor Jewish federation officials responded to BuzzFeed’s request for clarification.
