The Jewish Educator Awards luncheon, hosted by award sponsors the Milken Family Foundation (MFF) and the Bureau of Jewish Education (BJE) of Greater Los Angeles, is a yearly fest of pride, love and admiration for the wide swath of Jews who belong to Los Angeles\’ day school world.
It continues to baffle me why anybody who cares about the future of Jewish communal life in Los Angeles\nwould seriously contemplate closing the Valley Cities Jewish Community Center (JCC).

On Sunday, Feb. 23, 800 volunteers from across the Southland will staff the phones from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. to raise money for the Jewish
Federation of Greater Los Angeles.
