Corbyn Ties Ceremony Honoring Terrorists to ‘Peace Process’

Photos recently unearthed by the UK Daily Mail showed UK Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn laying a wreath at a 2014 Tunisia ceremony commemorating the terrorists behind the 1972 Munich massacre at the Summer Olympics. Corbyn told Channel 4 News that he did so to “have a peace process.”

Channel 4’s Clare Fallon asked if he laid a wreath on or nearby the graves of the terrorists, prompting Corbyn to respond that the terrorists were killed in Israeli operations in Paris and Beirut that resulted in others dying “who were not involved in” the 1972 massacre, such as Yasser Arafat’s deputy, Abu Yusuf.

“I, along with other colleagues who were delegates at the conference, laid a wreath in memory of all those that have died in the hope that we have a peace process and peace in the future,” Corbyn said, “so those raids are never repeated.”

Corbyn added that “the way forward is of peace” and “dialogue” instead of “bombing” or “shooting civilians in Gaza.”

The Labour Party leader was asked again if he laid down a wreath; he responded that the wreath was in honor of those that died in the 1985 Israeli strike on Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) headquarters. Fallon pressed again on if the wreath was laid nearby the Munich terrorists and Corbyn said it was laid for “all those that had died.”

Corbyn was then asked if he took part in laying that wreath, and he replied by saying he “totally condemned” the 1972 Munich massacre.

Fallon eventually asked Corbyn if he ever “laid a wreath at the graves of Israelis who were killed in Palestinian attacks.”

“I’ve met many people from the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, over the years,” Corbyn responded. “I’ve indeed visited the Knesset and I met visiting Israeli delegations into Britain and, of course, anybody killed in this awful conflict has to be mourned.”

However, The Israel Project’s Julie Lenarz noted in National Review, “Corbyn time and again has missed opportunities to meet with Israeli delegates and boycotted events with Israeli officials in attendance.”

In response to Corbyn, The UK Daily Mail showed a layout of the graves to argue that the photos do indeed show that Corbyn was at the graves of the Munich terrorists, not those that died in the 1985 strike against PLO headquarters.

The controversy appears to be taking a toll on Corbyn, as in another recent interview he is seen rolling his eyes in response to a question about the wreath. He has refused to apologize for attending the ceremony.

Corbyn is also under fire over an unearthed image of him giving the Muslim Brotherhood salute at a mosque in February.

Al Jazeera Required to Register As a Foreign Agent Under New Law

Under the recently signed National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), Al Jazeera and other foreign media outlets are required to register as foreign agents.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, the NDAA will force all foreign media outlets – including Al Jazeera – to register as a foreign agent under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), a law that requires individuals and organizations to disclose that they’re aiming to shape public opinion in favor of a foreign entity. Russia’s RT America was required by the Justice Department to register as a foreign agent under the law in 2017; YouTube already forces each Al Jazeera video to disclose that they are funded by the Qatari government.

Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt argued in an op-ed for The Hill that Al Jazeera is “a major exporter hate against the Jewish people, Israel, and the United States.”

“Al Jazeera also routinely glorifies violence against Israeli Jews, regularly calling Palestinians killed in the act of trying to murder Israelis as ‘martyrs,’” Greenblatt wrote. “The network also uses this term for any Palestinian operative of the armed wing of Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad who is killed by Israeli forces, despite the fact that both of these groups avowedly seek to slaughter Israeli civilians.”

Al Jazeera has previously come under fire for spying on Jewish groups in the United States. as part of a documentary that claims that Jews control the U.S. government. The network has also previously promoted the conspiracy theory that Israel warned Jews that the 9/11 terror attacks were going to occur.

The Qatari government, which funds Al Jazeera, has reportedly warm relations with the Iranian regime and has funded and sheltered Islamic terror groups like Hamas, al-Qaeda and ISIS.

Trump Confidant Puts Up – Then Deletes – Swastika Post on Instagram

Roger Stone, who has been a long time confidant to President Trump and was once an adviser to Trump’s presidential campaign, deleted an August 13 Instagram post that featured a swastika.

The post shows Stone, Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), Rudy Giuliani, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Fox News’ Sean Hannity donning astronaut suits that have swastikas featured on the left side of their chests. There is also a swastika on the upper-right hand corner of the picture.

“I love this – proud to be in this crew – but the only lies being told are by liberal scumbags #maga #republican #infowars,” Stone wrote.

Stone later deleted the post and then apologized in a subsequent post under an image that had “SORRY” written in all caps.

“Last night I posted an image attacking me and other supporters of the President that was sent to me by a hater,” Stone wrote. “I did so to mock them. I did not notice the image had a swastika in the corner. When it was brought to my attention I deleted – so u libtards who are frothing at the mouth can stop sending insulting comments.”

Stone is currently being investigated by special counsel Robert Mueller for possible ties to the Russians.

Summer Lovin… Happened so fast!

It is not just the summer lovin that happened so fast… summer is almost over! Officially that is. Fortunately Los Angeles has its own summer months…In fact it’s most of the year! Lucky us! These hot August nights in Los Angeles remind me of the ever popular Grease musical; especially the song Summer Lovin…   since summer is the most popular time for romantic events such as weddings and engagements, although those happen more towards the end of the year.

Actually considering the variety of events we get booked for, it is probably the most popular time for any event! I don’t know about you but there is something really special about sitting outdoors with your favorite person(s), as the sun sets with a cool glass of wine (or whatever works for you) and relaxing especially after a long day at work.

Summer is really a popular time for outdoor wedding venues.

Especially when they  transform into a fairytale setting after sunset. Imagine the gorgeous bride walking down the aisle with all the trees sparkling, the fragrance of the flowers permeating the space and candles setting the tone for the most romantic evening of the couple’s life! Yes… I love planning and catering outdoor weddings or events of any description actually including BBQ’s, wine tastings and especially beach proposals! I think they captured the mood perfectly in the picture below!

I always wondered where the tradition of the June bride came from…

Surely it could not just be the gorgeous weather, so I did a little research and was fascinated to learn the tradition dates back to Roman times when they celebrated the festival of the deity Juno and his wife Jupiter, who was the goddess of marriage and childbirth, on the first day of June. In Victorian times, the tradition is thought to have continued because there were flowers available for wedding décor, and the scent of the flowers masked body odor.  How romantic!!? Of course nowadays you can get flowers year-round and almost everybody wears deodorant, but summer is still popular for weddings in general. This is due to it being the easiest time of year for most brides and grooms to take extended leave from work and time away from the office is more flexible between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Not such a romantic reason but practical. In Europe whole cities shut down in August for vacation. If there are kids involved in the wedding; coordinating school schedules any other time of year is a complete nightmare.

Destination weddings are seasonal of course, depending on whether the couple wants tropical, beach or mountains which usually results in better rates as wedding venues aren’t as packed as they are the remainder of the year.

As perfect as summertime is considered for weddings here in the US, this is also the most expensive time of the year for wedding or any event venues. Weekends being the most expensive but Sundays and weekdays are reasonable and the best deals can be found there so if not having your wedding on a Saturday is OK with the couple, then they have great venues at a reasonable rate available to them and they are often totally negotiable!

Some of my favorite summer activities are BBQ’s and wine tastings.

Especially those that take place around a pool or rooftop with a stunning view! If you follow us you will be notified of some of the fun events you can attend. Why Israel needs Reform and Conservative Judaism

Last week (August 9) an article appeared in the opinion section of the Forward under the title – “Stop Trying to Bring Reform and Conservative Judaism to Israel – We Already have too much Religion” by Einat Wilf and Ram Vromen.

The article set up a straw dog paradigm that is faulty on so many levels it is difficult to respond. But Rabbi Gilad Kariv did effectively as a follow-up letter to the editor. Rabbi Kariv is President and CEO of the Israel Reform Movement.

Rabbi Kariv shows that Reform Progressive and Liberal Judaism is an authentic Israeli movement and that progressive Judaism is a necessity for Israel’s future both as a Jewish and democratic society.

I am including links to both the original article and Rabbi Kariv’s response which offers links to surveys completed fairly recently that show both the growth and potential of Reform Judaism in Israel.
