An 83-year-old native of Germany has been sentenced to six months in jail for scrawling anti-Semitic graffiti in a Canadian city in Ontario.
Last year, the MacArthur Foundation awarded a fellowship to Deborah Eisenberg in recognition of a body of work as a short-story writer that spans three decades.
