Palestinians’ Plight, Holocaust Are Not Analogous

For decades, the Palestinian nationalist cause has sought to draw a dark line linking the experience of ordinary Palestinians from 1948 on to the experience of ordinary European Jews from 1933 to 1945. That link, it appears, is firmly embedded in the mind of the president of the United States.

Kudos to Suissa\n\nKudos to David Suissa for his informative and brave article on his recent visit to Israel (“Chaos and Unity,” July 17). I hope American Jews start waking up as well. If they could support Obama in such large numbers, maybe if they start pressuring him … he could be made to stop pressuring Israel.

The Wall

There are few places on earth that move Jews like the Western Wall in Jerusalem. After my visit this summer, I think I’ve discovered why this ancient structure has such a magical hold on us.
