Dear all,
As they do with every revolution around the sun, my eyes required an adjustment to my prescription. When I put my glasses back on, I was able to see more clearly, more sharply, and more precisely.
I was the same person.
The vista out my window was the same vista.
But an ever so slight change in lens made all the difference.
This taught me a life value.
We won’t always see eye-to-eye with others. I have my convictions. They have theirs. But perhaps if we take a moment in time to try on a new lens, a new perspective … we can create opportunities for shared visions.
With love and shalom,
Rabbi Zach Shapiro
