Dear all,
As Jews all over the world celebrate the Festival of Hanukkah (evening of December 22 through sunset on Dec 30), we are reminded of the incredible power of light. It’s not about huge light shows (as great as they are). Rather, it’s about how one small flame can make a difference.
My favorite night of Hanukkah is the first. One candle, the shamash, lights one other. That’s it. And in that moment in time, I realize that all it takes is one light (one dream, one hope, one prayer, one smile, one deed of goodness). Yes, all it takes is one light to create another light.
This season, identify yourself with the shamash. All it takes is YOU to inspire others.
What is your dream?
What is your hope?
What is your prayer?
What is your deed of goodness?
And how will your light make a difference for one other person?
Wishing you a season of goodness!
With love and shalom,
Rabbi Zach Shapiro
