Wix goes public
Israeli startup Wix, had a 119 million dollar IPO launch this Wednesday. The company, based in Tel-Aviv, helps users build their own customized website and works to make website design easier. It's available in multiple languages in 190 countries and is growing at a rate of 34,000 new registered users per day. According to Forbes, This will be the one of the biggest Israeli U.S. IPOs since 2010.

Girl just wants to have fun (In Israel)
An and artist whose arrival here has been confirmed is pop-star, Cyndi Lauper. Lauper, one of the most successful American artists in the 80's will arrive in Israel for one concert this winter, which will be held on January 4 at Tel Aviv's Nokia Arena. The concert is expected to include Lauper's biggest hits, alongside stories from the recording of the album and experiences from her rise to stardom.
The first Israeli-Syrian baby
This week, for the first time, a Syrian refugee gave birth in an Israeli hospital. The woman, a 20-year-old nurse, came across the border alone, and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. This story was one of the biggest stories of the week here in Israel, and led to a wave of support from Israelis as well as people around the world.

World Cup trophy lands in Israel
Yesterday, football’s most coveted prize arrived in Israel. The traditional World Cup trophy's journey around the world includes a 92,000-mile tour that will reach 89 countries in the run-up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, which starts June 12 in São Paulo. The trophy was welcomed at a state ceremony at Ben-Gurion Airport in the presence of Culture and Sports Minister Limor Livnat, Brazil's ambassador to Israel and key figures in Israeli soccer.
