Two British lawmakers accused supporters of Israel of “buying” influence in the Conservative Party.\n\nBoth used anti-Semitic stereotypes in their statements, reportedly made last week, which drew criticism from the body that monitors anti-Semitism in Britain.\n

Israeli policemen injured in clash with Palestinians

Israeli security services clashed with Palestinians and activists outside of a prison near Ramallah.\n\nThree border police officers were injured in Wednesday\’s demonstration by about 200 protesters calling for the release of 10 Palestinians who were arrested Sunday in Bethlehem. Two protesters were arrested.\n

Arms cache for Gaza uncovered in Sinai

A large arms cache allegedly intended to be smuggled into the Gaza Strip was discovered in the Sinai Desert.\n\nEgyptian security forces found the cache, including 100 anti-aircraft missiles and other explosives, early Thursday morning, according to Egyptian reports cited in the Israeli press.\n

Thousands receive priestly blessing at Wall

Thousands of Jewish worshipers gathered at the Western Wall for the priestly blessing.\n\nHundreds of Kohanim, members of the priestly class, blessed some 10,000 worshipers in the morning prayer service Thursday, which is held each year during Passover and Sukkot.\n

U.S. Sen. Kerry: Syria is committed to peace

United States Senator John Kerry said Thursday that Syria is committed to achieving peace in the Middle East and is essential to the process.\n\n\”Syria is an essential player in bringing peace and stability to the region,\” Kerry said.
