2018 Burbank Days of Remembrance-Community Commemoration of the Holocaust and 75th Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising

This year marks the 75th Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, when from April 19 to May 16, 1943, residents of the Jewish Ghetto of Warsaw staged an armed revolt against the Nazi deportations to death camps. This was the most significant act of resistance to the Nazis and it inspired other revolts throughout Nazi-occupied Eastern Europe. 16 Burbank churches, synagogues and mosque will participate in this Program. Our keynote speakers are 2 Holocaust survivors of Warsaw.
