Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Israeli Ambassador Daniel Ayal met recently and placed a call to congratulate new Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. They, along with Ayal\’s wife, Anne, extended congratulations on the Kadima Party victory.
Superskater and silver Olympic medalist Sasha Cohen lit up the runway recently at the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style event in Beverly Hills. It was a night of chowing down on yummy foods and stargazing as the Rodeo Drive Committee celebrated the illustrious careers of costume designers Edith Head (posthumous), James Acheson and Milena Canonero.
Temple Emanuel was rockin\’ recently when it hosted the Temple Bryant A.M.E. Church Choir that performed with Emanuel\’s choir at a Shabbat Shira Service. The entire congregation and guests were on their feet singing and clapping in joyous rapture.
Nessah Synagogue in Beverly Hills hosted an overflow crowd of 600 guests for a community conversation about Jihad, the riots in France and the threats to Israel posed by Hamas and Iran. Sponsored by the Republican Jewish Coalition L.A. Chapter and the Israel Christian Nexus, the program featured unique insights from noted columnist and historian Victor Davis Hanson, former PLO terrorist and anti-radical Islam activist Walid Shoebat, and French journalist Philippe Karsenty, who revealed the fraudulent story that young Muhummad Al Dura was killed by Israelis at the start of the second intifada.
Long time L.A. drycleaner Barry Gershenson was named one of four national spokespersons for the FabriCare Foundation. Gershenson, a third-generation dry cleaning veteran has more than 40 years experience as owner of Sterling Fine Cleaning in Los Angeles. As a spokesperson for the FabriCare Foundation, Gershenson\’s role will be to educate consumers on the definition of a \”professional\” drycleaner, as well as the overall benefits of dry cleaning.
