Not a day goes by without someone pointing out how fortunate I am to have stepped away from serving as a college president more than a year ago.

How will Jews ever recall 2023 without thinking of the nightmare of Oct. 7?

While history suggests that some will always use Jews as scapegoats, I know how blessed I am to be a Jew. 

By standing strong and united, as we did in biblical times, we are demonstrating our ability not merely to exist, but to thrive.  

Let’s build on this foundation of shared values, and do the work necessary to make sure that all Jews feel that they are beloved members of our small but vibrant community.

Amnesty might be the norm on campus, but not in the real world, where people are for the most part expected to take responsibility for what they do.

We should do what is right for one essential reason – we are Jews.
