The House of Representatives unanimously passed a resolution 429-0 on May 31 that both condemned antisemitism and urged elected officials to inform the public about the contributions Jewish Americans have made to society.
The speech, delivered by Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) activist Fatima Mohammed, featured her applauding CUNY Law’s faculty and students for endorsing the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.
Video footage circulating on social media also showed protesters in the audience unfurling an Israeli flag and chanting, “Am Yisrael Chai!”
The concert featured Waters entering the stage donning the SS-like uniform with red armbands marked with crossed hammers instead of swastikas.
The strategy consists of more than 100 actions and four pillars, according to a fact sheet on the White House’s website.
