The Battle of the Warsaw Ghetto Play

This radio play marks the 75th Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, when from April 19 to May 16, heroic Jewish men and women of the ghetto in Nazi-occupied Warsaw, Poland staged an armed revolt against the Nazi deportations to death camps. This most significant act of resistance inspired other revolts in extermination and ghettoes throughout Nazi-occupied Europe. This play first aired on NBC radio in December 1943.
