[additional-authors]
September 13, 2019

Rabbi Shlomo Truzman was born in Melilla, Spanish Morocco. Melilla is situated in the northern tip of North Africa, facing the southern coast of Spain. It is a Spanish enclave dating back to the mid-fifteenth century. Rabbi Truzman is a graduate of the rabbinical institution Judith Lady Montefiore College in London, England. His first rabbinical position took him to Manchester, England, followed by Hong Kong, Guatemala, Aruba, Canada, Little Rock, AR, and Portland, OR, where he founded his own congregation.

Our conversation focuses on the importance of Hebrew in understanding Torah, as we discuss the many commandments in Parshat Ki Titzei.
