Stories are told in various ways. Aunt Ruth and I have charm bracelets dating back to our childhoods! Do you? On hers is her baby ring replete with teething marks along with trinkets from years of travel with her beloved husband. My mother bought mine. My mom brought me a little charm from her trips along with a couple that marked some of my childhood milestones; confirmation, learning to drive, and a globe that inspired a hope that I would see the world. Their value surely outweighs their golden weight.
I spent the night with Aunt Ruth, photographed the story telling, and listened to the charming tales of her golden goodies. I left with her baby ring, my new precious treasure.
Thanks to Aunt Ruth, I am keenly aware of the many ways to remember, and we hope this blog opens your mind to the many ways to “collect” cherished family histories.
I would love to hear your way of archiving memories.
