Covenant Awards accepting nominations

The Covenant Foundation is now accepting nominees for its 2010 awards for innovative Jewish educators.

The Covenant Foundation is now accepting nominees for its 2010 awards for innovative Jewish educators.

Awardees receive $36,000 each, as well as $5,000 for their institutions or organizations.

Nominations for the annual awards, given by the Crown Family Foundation, are due by Nov. 19. More information is available at http://www.covenantfn.org/awards.

The 2009 awardees, named in May, include Erica Brown, scholar-in-residence at the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and director of adult education at the Partnership for Jewish Life and Learning; Rabbi Stuart Seltzer, dean of Judaic studies at the Shoshana S. Cardin School in Baltimore; and Nili Simhai, director of the Teva Learning Center in New York.
