Photo from Flickr. (JTA) — A white nationalist was photographed appearing to urinate on an Israeli flag at a Pride parade in Detroit.
Some 40,000 attended the Motor City Pride event in Saturday in downtown Detroit.
During the event, members of the National Socialist Movement marched on the parade in protest of the event, performing Nazi salutes and carrying weapons, Fox News reported.
Images from the white nationalist protest published on social media showed a white nationalist ripping apart a rainbow flag and another urinating on an Israeli flag, according to Fox.
There were no reported clashes between the white nationalist group and participants in the pride parade.
The Southern Poverty Law Center classifies the National Socialist Movement as one of the largest neo-Nazi organizations in the country.
