I am married with a kid and living in Los Angeles. Many of my friends are single. They like to complain to me about how hard it is to find someone to love (I like to complain about how hard it is living with someone you love). This is my way of trying to get them off of my back. Every week I’ll post a new single peep, or someone new I meet who might be good for one of my peeps. If you’re interested in anyone you see on My Single Peeps, send an e-mail and a picture, including the person’s name in the subject line, to The Jewish Journal at {encode=”mysinglepeeps@jewishjournal.com” title=”mysinglepeeps@jewishjournal.com”}, and we’ll forward it along to your favorite peep.

I used to go jogging with an Israeli neighbor of mine. He’s tall, athletic and works as a private security guard for extremely wealthy people. He was the leader of an anti-terrorist unit in the Israeli army. He’s a tough bastard. And yet, as we became closer friends, I realized he was a pretty sensitive and neurotic guy. His looks belied his Woody Allen soul. When he introduced me to his cousin, Katie, I realized she had the same problem.

Blond hair, blue eyes, svelte and Swedish looking … yet, when you get to know her you find this neurotic Jewish actress just under the surface. She likes to be noticed when she enters a room, and she enjoys attention. Not strange for an actress, but she does have the ability — even when talking about herself — to make another person feel like she’s interested in them. And she really is interested. As she says, “I like to get to the meat of things.”

You know that beautiful girl in the bar who wears a cold sneer on her face so men will be too intimidated to approach her? Of course you don’t … she won’t let you approach her. But Katie’s not like that. She’s that beautiful girl in the bar wearing a smile so wide she looks like a Japanese manga character. She’s easy to approach and warm when you get there. If you’re not a match, she’ll probably keep you as a friend. She likes having friends.

She’s a talented actress, often guest starring on many shows. She just booked a recurring role on a new CBS TV sitcom. She’s a fun girl — funny, too. She’s like a cartoon come to life. So if you’re looking for your Jessica Rabbit, hit up Katie for a date.
