Two people have been found dead in Malibu while the Woolsey Fire continues to torment Ventura and Los Angeles counties.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the two people, who have yet to be identified, were found “severely burned” in a car that was stopped on the side of the road. Authorities have not yet conclusively determined that the cause of death was from the fire.

While the Woolsey Fire has been 5 percent contained, authorities are urging caution as winds are expected to ramp up on Sunday and continue on through Tuesday.

As of publication time, the Woolsey Fire has burned through 70,000 acres and forced 260,000 people to evacuate. Hundreds of homes have been destroyed.

Among the Jewish institutions that suffered damage from the fire include the Shalom Institute, Ilan Ramon Day School and Wilshire Boulevard Temple Camps. Temple Adat Elohim, which had to be evacuated, seems to still be intact.
